Why should resistance movements pledge to abolish the death penalty before they grab power? With Mr. Perviz Khazai representative of National Council of Resistance of Iran in the Nordic countries.
My guest today is Mr. Perviz Khazai representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran in the Nordic countries. I caught up with Mr. Khazai a few days before the Iranian's annual grand gathering which was held yesterday July 9 in Paris who was invited to attend an annual conference of abolishing the death penalty which was held at the end of June 2016 in Oslo Norway this year.
Given the fact that the rate of execution in Iran since Hassan Rouhani the so called moderate president took office in 2013, has increased significantly, to 2500 executions, addressing this issue is of a great importance. I should mention that the National Council of Resistance of Iran in its resolutions has abolished the death penalty and has pledged to commit to it after toppling the current Iranian regime.
